Clear jams in the document feeder
The following information describes how to clear paper jams in the document feeder. When a jam occurs, 2-
line control panel displays an error message and the touchscreen control panel displays an animation that
assists in clearing the jam.
1. Remove any paper from the document feeder
input tray.
2. Remove any jammed paper visible in the input
tray area. Use both hands to slowly pull out the
jammed paper to avoid tearing the paper.
3. Open the document-feeder cover.
