To replace the processor and its heatsink:
1. Open the ZIF lever (1).
To open the ZIF lever, pull the lever out away from the ZIF socket and rotate it to the
vertical position.
CAUTION: Failure to fully open the ZIF lever will prevent the processor from seating properly
during installation and can potentially lead to hardware damage.
2. Align the processor over the empty processor socket and insert the processor into the
socket (2).
WARNING: Align pin 1 on the processor with pin 1 on the processor socket, or pin
damage will occur.

3. Close the ZIF lever to fully seat the processor.
CAUTION: To prevent possible server malfunction, be sure to completely close the ZIF lever.
