9. Install the air baffle.
If the 4:1 riser signal cable or Smart Storage Battery are installed in the air baffle, reconnect the cables to
the risers. For more information, see "Installing the air baffle."
10. Install the access panel.
11. Install the server into the chassis.
12. Connect all peripheral cables to the server .
13. Power up the server .

About this task
To install the component:
Procedure
1. Back up all server data.
2. Power down the server .
3. Remove the server from the chassis.
4. Place the server on a sturdy, level surface.
5. Remove the access panel.
6. Install the HPE Smart Storage Battery:
a. Install the battery into the holder.
b. Ensure that the release clip is closed and locked.
c. Connect the cable to the riser connector.
