Removing and replacing the drive backplane
Prerequisites
To complete this procedure, you need a T-15 Torx screwdriver.
Procedure
1. Power down the compute module .
2. Remove the compute module.
3. Place the compute module on a flat, level work surface.
4. Remove the access panel.
5. Remove all drives.
6. Remove all drive blanks.
7. If removing a premium backplane, disconnect the premium backplane cable .
8. Remove the front panel/drive cage assembly.
9. Use a T-15 Torx screwdriver to remove the drive backplane from the front panel/drive cage assembly.
Remove the standard drive backplane.
Disconnect the premium drive backplane cable and remove the premium drive backplane.
