PLC Indicator
Table 6-7 describes the possible states of the PLC indicator.
Table 6-7 Description of the PLC indicator
Silkscreen Color Description
PLC Green Steady on: The PLC link is connected and
has received the registration information
from the slave node, but is not transmitting
or receiving data.
Fast blinking: The PLC link is transmitting
and receiving data.
Off: The PLC link is not connected. Possible
causes are:
l The PLC module does not work
normally.
l The PLC link is not connected.
ALM Indicator
When a router has no USB flash drive connected, its ALM indicator is used as the system
indicator. When a USB flash drive is installed, the ALM indicator is used as the USB
indicator. Table 6-8 describes the possible states of the ALM indicator.

ALM Red Used as the system indicator:
l Steady on: A system fault has occurred
and requires manual intervention.
l Off: The system is running properly.
Used as the USB indicator:
Steady on: The system failed to be upgraded
using the USB flash drive.
RUN Indicator
When a router has no USB flash drive connected, its RUN indicator is used as the system
indicator. When a USB flash drive is installed, the RUN indicator is used as the USB
indicator. Table 6-9 describes the possible states of the RUN indicator.
