Solution
Step 1 Verify that the correct power supply is used. The input voltage for the IAD208E(M) must be
12 V.
Step 2 Check whether the phone connected to the port is hung up.
If no, hang up the phone.
If yes, go to Step 3.
Step 3 Check whether the splitter connected to the port is running properly.
If no, replace the splitter.
If yes, go to Step 4.
Step 4 Check whether the user line connected to the port is normal.
If no, replace the user line.
If yes, go to Step 5.
Step 5 Contact Huawei technical support.

2.3.21 Two IADs on the Same VLAN Cannot Ping Each Other, and
the Phone Does Not Ring When a User Under One IAD Makes a
Call to Another User Under the Other IAD
Symptom
Two IADs on the the same VLAN cannot ping each other. When a user under one IAD makes
a call to another user under the other IAD, the phone does not ring.
Cause
The possible causes are as follows:
The network is disconnected.
The IAD configuration is incorrect.
Solution
Step 1 Check whether the network cable is connected properly.
If no, reconnect the network cable.
If yes, go to Step 2.
Step 2 Check whether the configuration on the two IADs is correct. For details, see VLAN
configuration in the product document.
If yes, go to Step 3.
If no, modify the configuration.
Step 3 Verify that the configuration on the upstream device connected to the two IADs is correct.
