Tailgate
CAUTION
Do not let anyone ride where
they cannot wear a safety belt
properly.
It is extremely dangerous for
passengers to ride on the tail-
gate, even when the vehicle is
traveling at slow speeds.
People riding on the tailgate
can easily lose their balance and
fall in response to vehicle
maneuvers.
Falling from a moving vehicle
may result in serious injuries or
death.
Be sure everyone in your vehicle
is in a seat and using a safety
belt properly.
To open the tailgate, just pull up
on the handle located near the
center of the tailgate, then lower it
all the way down.
To close the tailgate, push it
upward until it latches securely.
To remove the tailgate:
1. Pull up on the handle located
near the center of the tailgate,
then lower the tailgate all the
way down.
