Starting and Operating Instructions
. . . 250
To release the brake, hold the
regular brake pedal down with
your right foot and pull the park-
ing brake handle located just
above the parking brake pedal.
If the parking brake is applied and
the vehicle speed is greater than
5 km/h (3 mph) for at least
3 seconds, the brake system warn-
ing light will flash and a warning
chime will sound.
See "Brake System Warning Light"
in Section 1.
NOTICE
Do not drive with the parking
brake set.
Driving with the parking brake
on could cause the brakes to
overheat. The brakes, or other
parts of the vehicle, could be
damaged.
Make sure the parking brake is
fully released and the brake
system warning light is off.
If you are towing a trailer and park-
ing on a hill, see "Trailer Towing"
later in this section.
SUSPENSION
The suspension system in your
vehicle is designed to provide a
smooth and controlled ride.
