Section 3
Manual Transmission (If
equipped)
1. Hold the clutch pedal down.
2. Place your manual transmis-
sion in reverse gear and firmly
apply the parking brake.
3. Turn the ignition to LOCK.
4. Remove the key.
5. Release the clutch.
If you are towing a trailer and park-
ing on a hill, see "Trailer Towing"
later in this section.
■ TRACTION
There are three systems that
control the vehicle: steering,
brakes, and accelerator. To keep
the vehicle under control, do not
push any of these systems beyond
their limits.
Traction Control System
This system automatically limits
wheel spin under slippery road
conditions.

Stabilitrak
®
System
This system selectively applies any
one of the brakes to help maintain
directional control in difficult
driving conditions.

system.
