Section 4
NOTICE
Don't add too much oil. If your
engine has so much oil that the
oil level gets above the upper
mark that shows the proper
operating range, your engine
could be damaged.
6. Reinsert the dipstick all the
way until it is firmly seated.
Choosing the Right Oil Quality
Your vehicle requires oil meeting
GM standard GM6094M.
Oil meeting this standard will also
have the American Petroleum
Institute Starburst symbol on its
container.
Only use oil that has the American
Petroleum Institute Starburst
symbol on its container.
If you are unable to find engine oils
displaying the Starburst symbol,
use oils that meet the American
Petroleum Institute Service SM,
ACEA A3/B3 or GM-LL-A-025
service requirements.
Oils which do not meet these
specifications should not be used.
NOTICE
Failure to use the recommend-
ed oil can result in engine
damage not covered by your
warranty.
