Step 7 — Program the Stations and Activate the Controller
Please see the WeatherTRAK Controller User Manual for information and instructions on how to program each
station and activate the controller. You can also use WeatherTRAK mobile to program stations after the
controller has been activated and you receive your log-in.
Step 8 — Test the System
After installation, you will need to test the system to ensure that everything is working properly. You will need
to run a valve test and then manually test all stations to see that they are irrigating.
Running a Valve Test
Valve tests can be run automatically or manually. A manual valve test is done through the manual test menu.
Press the MANUAL TEST button. The MANUAL WATER screen displays.
Press the + or – button until the Valve Test screen displays.
Press the button until the RUN VALVE TEST screen displays.
Press the * button to run the test. If a fault is found, the screen will display the total number of stations
with faults.
Manually Testing the Stations
Stations can be tested individually, by program or they can all be tested in succession.
Manual Test by Individual Station
Press the MANUAL TEST button.
Press the + or - button to select By Station.
Press the button to select the station you want to manually water.
Press the + or – button to select the number of minutes you would like to test water for. Irrigation will
begin immediately.
If you need to stop irrigation during a manual test for any reason, press the – button to set the minutes
back to 0. You can also press and hold the
OFF button for 5 seconds, then press the RUN button to finish.
Repeat steps 3-4 to enable other desired stations to test. The controller will operate selected stations in
the order in which they were programmed.
Manual Test for All Stations
Press the MANUAL/TEST button.
Press the + or - button to select All Stations.
Press the button. The MANUAL WATER ALL STATION screen displays.
Press the + or – button to select the number of minutes you would like to manually test for. Irrigation will
begin immediately. The controller will immediately begin to irrigate stations 01 through the Max Active
Stations for the selected runtime in numerical order.
