1. Turn OFF the power. Remove the return coolant hose (blue hose with red tape) from the manifold in the power
supply and place it in a 20 liter (5 gallon) container.
2. Turn ON the power. Press and hold the current selection knob (8) and allow the coolant to flow for 60 seconds.
Release (8) and then turn OFF the power.
3. Measure the amount of coolant in the container. It should be about 4 liters (1 gallon). If there is less than 4 liters
(1 gallon) there may be a restriction in the coolant system or a problem with the pump. The total flow will drop
when the return hose is connected and it will make the flow close to the set point.
4. If the flow is 2.65 lpm (0.7 gpm) or higher, check the voltage signal from the flow switch.
Coolant flow test procedure
The control board (PCB3) receives a voltage signal from the flow switch that is dependent on the flow rate
(lpm/gpm) of the coolant. A voltage of 0.67 VDC from the flow switch equals 2.3 lpm (0.6 gpm). PCB3 will allow the
system to operate if the voltage signal is 0.67 VDC or greater. If the gas console shows a coolant flow error (093)
the system will need to be turned OFF and then ON again and the following test needs to be performed to
determine if the problem is coolant flow or the flow switch.
