cabinet. If your cabinet contains components that you do not want to power off, turn
off all power switches on the components of the storage configuration you are
currently installing.
Statement 5:
CAUTION:
The power control button on the device and the power switch on the power
supply do not turn off the electrical current supplied to the device. The device
also might have more than one power cord. To remove all electrical current
from the device, ensure that all power cords are disconnected from the power
source.

1. Verify that the main circuit breakers in the cabinet are turned off.
2. If you have not already done so, turn off all power switches on each storage
subsystem and storage expansion enclosure in the cabinet. Figure 67 shows
the locations of the power switches and connectors on the storage subsystem.
3. Connect the line jumper power cords to the AC power connectors on the RAID
controllers.
Note:
The DC power connection is not supported in the current release of the
DS4800. Contact your IBM service representative or reseller for
information about possible future DC power support.
