Appendix B. Records

Whenever you add options to your DS4800, be sure to update the information in

this appendix. Accurate, up-to-date records make it easier to add other options and

provide needed data whenever you contact your IBM technical support

representative.

Identification numbers

Record and retain the following information. The machine type, model number, and

serial number are located on top of each RAID controller unit. The MAC addresses

are located near the Ethernet ports on each RAID controller, as shown in

Figure 100.
