Tilt the system backplane so that the back end is high and the front end is low as you lift the system
backplane out of the chassis.
8. Place the system backplane on the ESD mat.
Replacing the system backplane in the 9183-22X system
To replace a system backplane, complete the steps in this procedure.
Procedure
1. Ensure that you have the electrostatic discharge (ESD) wrist strap on and that the ESD clip is plugged
into a ground jack or connected to an unpainted metal surface. If not, do so now.
2. Remove the replacement system backplane from the static-protective package and place it on an
ESD mat.
3. Using the blue touch points (B), lower the system backplane into the system.
Tilt the system backplane so that the front end is low and ts under the fan cage brackets. Lower the
rear end into the chassis. Slide the system backplane backwards into place.
