6. Lift the drive backplane from the system.
Replacing a drive backplane in the 9183-22X system
To replace a drive backplane in the system, complete the steps in this procedure.
Procedure
1. Ensure that you have the electrostatic discharge (ESD) wrist strap on and that the ESD clip is plugged
into a ground jack or connected to an unpainted metal surface. If not, do so now.
2. Align and place the drive backplane into the system.
Insert and align the drive backplane into the lower slots that secure the backplane. Rotate the
backplane forwards into place.
3. Tighten the two captive thumbscrews (A) to secure the drive backplane to the system.
