Memory DIMM installation: Independent channel mode
Independent channel mode provides a maximum memory of 64 GB of usable
memory with one installed processor, and 128 GB of usable memory with two
installed microprocessor (using 16 GB DIMMs).
Table 4-6 shows DIMM installation if you have one processor that is installed.

Table 4-7 on page 75 shows DIMM installation if you have two processors that
are installed. A minimum of two memory DIMMs (one for each processor) are
required when two processors are installed.
