7 ICE Torus 126 Ink Fill & Prime

7.1 Introduction

Due specification differences between the ICE Torus 126 and ICE Torus 500 printhead, there

are two different fill and priming procedures. Both procedures are described in the following

sections.

Please ensure the correct priming procedure, for the correct ICE Torus variant is followed.

ICE Torus 126 printers are shipped in a “dry” state. In order to function correctly, the ICE

Torus printer requires filling with ink and an initial “prime”, in order to displace any air pockets

within the printhead.

PLEASE NOTE: This procedure is essential to ensure optimum print resolution from the

printer

The following support equipment will be required:-

An empty bottle and/or absorbent material for catching any drained ink.

Recommended – a small piece of 4mm pipe.
