  If the ribbon breaks in your Ice Printer, there might be several reasons. It could be a broken ribbon, excess slack when loading the cassette, a damaged cassette (check for a damaged base plate), end of the reel, incorrect ribbon placement relative to the peel roller, or the host machine holding the ribbon too firmly. To resolve this, try reinstalling the ribbon, replacing the ribbon reel, checking for cassette damage, or reviewing and correcting the application.

  If you are getting a 'Cassette Open' error on your Ice Printer, it could be due to several reasons: the cassette is not fully seated, the cassette latch is out of adjustment, the cassette sensor is faulty, or the home switch magnet is missing. Try pushing the cassette in until you hear a 'click', adjusting the cassette latch, replacing the printhead sensor, or replacing the magnet.
