To Remove Existing Thermostat
ELECTRICALSHOCKHAZARD
–Turnoffpoweratthemainservicepanelbyremovingthefuseorswitching
theappropriatecircuitbreakertoOFFpositionbeforeremovingtheexistingthermostat.
1. Turnoffpowertoheating&coolingsystembyremovingthefuseorswitchingtheappropriatecircuitbreakeroff.
2. Removecoverofoldthermostat;thisshouldexposethewires.
3. Labeltheexistingwireswiththeenclosedwirelabelsbeforeremovingwires.
4. Afterlabelingwires,removewiresfromwireterminals.
5. Removeexistingthermostatbasefromwall.
6. Refertothefollowingsectionforinstructionsonhowtoinstallthisthermostat.
Battery Installation and Information
Two“AA”alkalinebatteriesareusedtopowerthethermostat.Theyareinstalledintothebackofthethermostat.
Orienttheminthecorrectdirectionasshownontheplasticthermostatcase.
Thebatteriesshouldbechangedyearlytopreventleakagefromdamagingthethermostatandvoidingyour
warranty.
Ifthebatteriesarenotchangedthethermostatwilleventuallydisplay
andconserveenergybymaintaininga
lowersetpointinheatingandahighersetpointincooling.
