Grade Differentials
When grade differences are small, a single unit on the high side may work,
provided all lanes are within range.

When the grade differential is large enough to put a part of the lower level in a
“shadow”, two RTMS Echo units are required as shown by the following.

Trees
Trees and bushes in the path of the microwave beam (in the setback or in
medians) must be avoided. RTMS Echo units must be relocated or a gap in
vegetation maintained in the path of the beam.
