5 EXTEND TO (can be set if Extend is activated – see below):
RIGHT: Extends the display to the right of the main display.
LEFT: Extends the display to the left of the main display.
ABOVE: Extends the display above of the main display.
BELOW: Extends the display below the main display.
NOTE: This mode is only available when set to Extend.
6 EXTEND: Extends your desktop onto the secondary display.
7 SET AS MAIN MONITOR: Sets the secondary display as the main display.
8 NOTEBOOK MONITOR OFF: Will only show the external TV, monitor or projector’s screen;
it will not show the main computer’s display.
9 MIRROR: Reproduces (mirrors) the main display on the second display.
NOTE: The resolution, color depth and refresh rate of the primary display are duplicated.
10 OFF: Switches off the display of an attached PC and makes the DisplayLink display primary.
11 OPTIMIZE FOR VIDEO: Select this option for better movie playback performance on the
DisplayLink enabled displays. Only select this option when playing back video content. Text
may appear less clear when enabled.
12 ADVANCED: Opens the Display Settings Window (see below).
To open the Windows Display Settings on Windows Vista:
The Windows Display Setting operation is the same as in Windows XP, so refer to the following
page for instructions once opening.
1. Right-click on the Desktop.
2. Click Personalize.
3. Click Display Settings; the Windows Display Settings window will appear. This screen will allow
you to select the display to be configured and then change its mode, resolution, color quality
and position.
NOTE: You can also select the ADVANCED option as described above.
