Many issues can be resolved by the following:
unplugging and re-plugging in the Link™ transmitter
changing the display mode via the Remote Monitor indicator
changing the display mode via Windows Display Properties
restarting the computer
installing the latest drivers
PC: update via the Update Drivers option
MAC: www.displaylink.com/mac
Trouble: Video playback is jerky or choppy.
Solution: 1. Check to see if Link™ transmitter is in the upright position.
2. Reposition your laptop and transmitter to get at least a yellow (if not green) signal strength.
3. Ensure resolution is set to 720 or less.
4. Confirm “Optimize for Video” is selected in the DisplayLink settings.
5. Adjust your laptop “Power Management for maximum performance if running on battery
power.
6. Confirm your PC meets minimum system requirements.
Trouble: Message on the display, “Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service.”
Solution: This can occur when entering Extend mode with low system resources. The PC does not have enough
memory to start an extended display. Close down any applications currently not in use. The situation may also
be improved by restarting the PC.
Trouble: Message on the display, “The requested allocation size is too large.”
Solution: This can occur if trying to mirror a primary display with a resolution above 2300x1700 (4:3) or
2600x1500 (16:9).
Trouble: Message on the display, “Incompatible Display Driver.
Solution: This can occur if trying to mirror a primary display with a resolution above 2300x1700 (4:3) or
2600x1500 (16:9).
