5.1 Repair, replacement or spare part?
The MICROlight consists of several replacement groups. In case of defects, these can be
repaired in the service workshop or replaced as complete units, as desired. In addition, spare
parts can be ordered from these assemblies.
1. Repair
The defective assembly is sent to IMS with a repair order. The assembly is repaired
and returned. The customer receives his assembly back. This is followed by billing. The
repair (unless this is a warranty claim) and the shipping costs incurred are billed.
2. Replacement
The customer reports a defect and informs the service department about the
assemblies to be replaced. When the repair order is received by IMS before 15:00 h,
an identical functioning assembly is shipped the same day (may differ for foreign
countries). The customer ensures the return of the defective assembly within 5 working
days (arrival at IMS). This is followed by the repair of the returned assembly and
invoicing. The repair costs (unless this is a warranty claim), shipping costs incurred and
possible late charges (only if exceeding the 5 working days) are charged.
3. Spare parts
Spare parts are wear items and do not represent separate replacement assemblies. They
can be ordered for stock or according to wear and replaced by the operator. The worn parts
do not need to be returned.
