Connecting a device to the front AV jacks
The front AV jacks make it easy to connect a device
like a camcorder or video game console that you do
not want to keep permanently connected.
To connect a device to the front AV jacks:
1 Connect a standard (composite) video cable to
the AUX 1 VIDEO jack on the front of your
receiver and to a standard video device.
2 Connect an audio cable to the AUX 1 L/R jacks
on the front of your receiver.
Connecting a CD player
To connect a CD player:
Connect an audio cable to the CD IN L/R AUDIO
jacks on the back of your player and to the L/R
AUDIO OUT jacks on the CD player.
Connecting digital audio
To connect digital audio:
Connect a 75Ω coaxial digital audio cable to
the COAXIAL IN 1 (DVD) jack on the back of
your receiver and to the COAXIAL OUT jack on
the digital audio device.
Or,
Connect an optical digital audio cable to the
OPTICAL IN 1 (GAME/AUX) or
OPTICAL IN 1 (CABLE/SAT) jack on the back
of your receiver and to the OPTICAL OUT jack
on the digital audio device.
Note
When you are not using the front AV jacks, keep them
covered with the supplied cap.
Note
You can also connect the audio to a digital audio jack
on your receiver. For more information, see
