2 Press TUNE or TUNE to select SPEAKER
SETUP, then press ENTER/MEMO. The SPEAKER
SETUP screen opens.
3 Press TUNE or TUNE to select CHANNEL
LEVEL, then press ENTER/MEMO. The CHANNEL
LEVEL-TEST TONE screen opens.
4 Press PRESET or PRESET to select:
• MANUAL—Lets you select the speaker you
want to send a test tone to.
• AUTO—Automatically sends a test tone to
each speaker in sequence.
5 Press ENTER/MEMO. The CHANNEL LEVEL screen
opens.
6 If you select MANUAL, press TUNE or
TUNE to select the speaker you want the test
tone sent to.
7 Press PRESET or PRESET to adjust the
channel level. You can adjust the channel level
within the range of -15 ~ +15 dB.
8 After you adjust all the speakers, press RETURN
to return to the main menu or press SETUP to
close the menu.
Selecting the speaker distance
When listening to multi-channel surround playback
with Dolby Digital and DTS sources, the center and
surround speakers should be the same distance
from the main listening position as the front
speakers. By entering the distance between the
listening position and each speaker, the delay times
of the center and surround speakers are
automatically adjusted to create an ideal listening
environment virtually as if the center and surround
speakers were at their ideal locations.
To select the speaker distance:
1 Press SETUP. The OSD opens.
2 Press TUNE or TUNE to select SPEAKER
SETUP, then press ENTER/MEMO. The SPEAKER
SETUP screen opens.
3 Press TUNE or TUNE to select SPEAKER
DISTANCE, then press ENTER/MEMO. The
SPEAKER DISTANCE screen opens.
Note
When AUTO is selected, the test tone will be output
from each speaker for two seconds.
Note
The test tone will not be sent to the speakers set to
NO.
