How do I create a duress code?
Duress is an authority level that can be assigned to any user. A duress code entry
sends a silent alarm to the Central Station.
If Duress is assigned to a user, the silent alarm is sent every time that user’s PIN
access code is entered. Follow these steps to assign the Duress authority to a user.
Note: Duress code is used for a send a silent alarm to a Central Station. Duress codes
cannot be used for normal operation.
1. Press the Settings icon on the main screen and press CONFIGURATION.
2. Enter a Master PIN access code.
3. Press USERS from the Configuration & Programming screen.
4. Press USERS from the Users screen.
5. Press ADD to create a new User or press Edit to assign Duress to a current User
(Figure 91).
