Installation
1. Make sure the copper foil shield is placed correctly over the EX25 scan engine.
2. Slide the EX25 scan engine into the scan bracket assembly.
3. Open the flex cable latch, fully insert the flex cable into the connector, and close the latch.
4. Install the four screws and two washers that secure the scan engine to the scan bracket assembly tightening them to
1.2+/-0.2 in-lbs of torque.
5. Re-install the scan bracket assembly.
6. Re-install the bottom housing assembly.
Flex Cable Removal and Installation
The flex cable is secured to the scan bracket with a piece of adhesive. The flex cable can be removed as needed by
carefully peeling it away from the scan bracket. When installing the flex cable make sure a good piece of adhesive is
in place on it and place the flex cable onto the scan bracket aligning it with the tabs molded in the bracket.
