OPERATION:
LCD Display & Touch Panel
The LCD display, touch panel, and boot are individually replaceable. However, due to the assembly stack up of this
assembly they will need to be removed and installed together.
When replacing an LCD panel it is mandatory to use the same vintage as already installed in the unit being
repaired. There are two different LCD/Touch Panel sets that have been used to produce CK71’s. An original
production LCD is shown at the left in the picture below. Note that the manufacture labeling is located on the flex
cable. A current production LCD is shown on the right in the picture below. Note that the manufacture labeling is pad
printed on the back of the LCD.
Original production used a touch panel with an anti-glare coating and will have a matte (dull) appearance. Current
production touch panels do not have this coating and will have a clear, shiny, mirror like appearance.
