–Thelegsoftheliftmustbeinthemaximum
openpositionforoptimumstabilityandsafety
duringtransfers.Ifitisnecessarytoclosethe
legsofthelifttomaneuvertheliftundera
bed,closethelegsoftheliftonlyaslongasit
takestopositiontheliftinfrontofthepatient
andliftthepatientoffthesurfaceofthebed.
Whenthelegsoftheliftarenolongerunder
thebed,returnthelegsofthelifttothe
maximumopenposition.
