device.Itisintendedtotransferanindividual
fromonerestingsurfacetoanother(suchasa

–WheelchairandbedwheellocksMUSTbein
alockedpositionbeforeloweringthepatient
ontoorliftingthepatientoffofthewheelchair
orbedtopreventthewheelchairorbedfrom
movingduringtransfer.
–Beforetransferring,checkthatthewheelchair
(bed,commodeorothersurface)weight
capacitycanwithstandthepatient’sweight.

–ALWAYSkeephandsandngersclearofmoving
partstoavoidinjury.

liftinfrontofthepatientandliftthepatient
offthesurfaceofthebed.Whenthelegsof
theliftarenolongerunderthebed,returnthe
legsofthelifttothemaximumopenposition.
–Invacarerecommendslockingtherearcasters
oftheliftONLYwhenpositioningorremoving
theslingfromaroundthepatient.
–Invacarerecommendsthattherearcasters
beleftunlockedduringliftingproceduresto
allowthepatientlifttostabilizeitselfwhenthe
patientisinitiallyliftedfromachair,bedor
anystationaryobject.
