Wornordamagedpartsoftheliftmaycause
injurytothepatientorassistants.
–Aftertherstyearofuse,thehooksofthe
liftarmsandthemountingcomponentsshould
beinspectedtodeterminetheextentofwear.
Checkforsignsofcracking,fraying,deformation
ordeterioration.Ifthesepartsbecomeworn,
theymustbereplaced.
–Periodicallyinspectallcomponentsofthe
patientliftforsignsofcorrosion.Replaceall
partsthatarecorrodedordamaged.
Regularcleaningwillreveallooseorwornparts,
enhancesmoothoperationandextendthelife
expectancyofthelift.
Followthemaintenanceproceduresdescribedin
thismanualtokeepyourpatientliftincontinuous
service.
TheInvacareliftisdesignedtoprovidesafe,efcientand
satisfactoryservicewithminimumcareandmaintenance.
Itisimportanttoinspectallstressedparts,suchasslings,
liftarmsandanypivotpointsforsignsofwear,cracking,
fraying,deformationordeterioration.Replaceanydefective
partsimmediatelyandensurethattheliftisnotuseduntil
repairsaremade.RefertotheSafetyInspectionChecklist
forspecicinformationregardingwearitems.
Thereisnoadjustmentormaintenanceofeitherthecasters
orbrakes,otherthancleaning,lubricationandchecking
axleandswivelboltsfortightness.Removealldebris,etc.
fromthewheelandswivelbearings.Ifanypartsareworn,
replacethesepartsimmediately.
