How to troubleshoot IPSO IPD30STG Dryer motor that will not start?
    • N
      Natalie OdomAug 16, 2025
If your IPSO Dryer's motor won't start, begin by checking the fuses and circuit breakers. Ensure the main control switch is turned 'on'. For gas dryers, inspect the bonnet thermostat. Also, verify the power source, ensuring the voltage, phase, and frequency match the specifications on the electrical rating plate. Check the timer setting or coin meter operation. Inspect wire connections in the electrical box at the dryer's rear and make sure the loading door is fully closed. If these steps don't resolve the issue, the door switch might need adjustment or replacement. Similarly, the basket motor contactor could be defective and need replacement. Finally, for gas bonnets, check if the safety thermostat has tripped or is defective, and reset or replace it as needed.

Why is the motor tripping on thermal in my IPSO IPD30STG?
    • J
      Jessica IngramAug 22, 2025
If your IPSO Dryer motor is tripping on thermal, check the voltage at the motor terminals, ensuring it's within +10% of the voltage on the motor rating plate. If not, consult your local power company. Also, consult with them to ensure your wiring is adequately sized for the load. Check all electrical connections and tighten any loose connections. Ensure adequate air by checking the installation sheet for recommended make-up air openings. Finally, clean any lint accumulation on and around the motors.

How to fix a noisy or vibrating IPSO Dryer?
    • J
      Jamie CarterAug 26, 2025
If your IPSO Dryer is excessively noisy or vibrating, first check if it is properly leveled according to the manual. Accidental damage to the fan blade can change the dynamic balance, so damaged fans should be replaced. Adjust basket clearance if the basket is rubbing. Tighten set screws on V-belt sheaves and ensure they are properly aligned. Adjust belt tension. Also, check for any foreign objects, such as screws or nails, caught in the basket perforations and remove them immediately.

What causes main burners to burn improperly in an IPSO Dryer?
    • T
      Timothy SmithAug 28, 2025
If the main burners in your IPSO Dryer are burning improperly, ensure the orifice is spaced 1/4' (7 mm) from the burner opening. Blow out any dirt in the burner. Adjust the gas pressure per the rating plate if it is too high. If the orifice is too large, send it to the factory for correct orifices. Finally, clean any restricted or blocked exhaust.

What to do if the motor runs but the basket won't revolve in my IPSO Dryer?
    • S
      Sara McmahonAug 31, 2025
If your IPSO Dryer motor runs but the basket won't revolve, the V-belt may be broken or loose, requiring replacement or adjustment of belt tension. Alternatively, the motor pulley might be loose; tighten the set screw. If the basket is overloaded, remove some of the load.

Why is my IPSO IPD30STG Dryer too hot?
    • M
Mr. Jeffery Davis DDSSep 3, 2025
If your IPSO Dryer is running too hot, replace the main burner orifices and check with the factory for the correct size. Ensure adequate make-up air, which must be 4 to 6 times the exhaust area of the dryer. Remove any accumulated lint. Make sure exhaust duct dampers are fully open or replace them if not. Adjust gas pressure per the rating plate if it is too high. Check the service section for recommended exhaust system sizes and remove obstructions or lint build-up from duct work. Never use a smaller size exhaust duct; always use a larger size. Replace the thermostat if it is defective.

What to do if my IPSO IPD30STG runs, but there is no heat?
    • S
      Sheila FrazierNov 18, 2025
If your IPSO Dryer runs but doesn't produce heat, start by checking for the correct control voltage (120V). Then, examine the power supply and the secondary voltage on the transformer, and inspect the wiring along with the wiring diagram. If it is a gas dryer, the direct spark ignition module or the gas valve coil assembly may be defective and need replacement. Ensure the manual gas valve is turned on. A defective door switch could also be the cause, requiring replacement. Finally, inspect the air switch to ensure it's operating correctly. Clean the lint compartment daily, check the back draft damper for obstructions, and ensure the duct work and make-up air openings are adequately sized. Also, examine the exhaust outlet, ensuring no improperly installed screen is clogged with lint or froz...
