What to do if my Jandy LXi igniter lights but main burners will not come on?
    • B
      Benjamin HudsonAug 18, 2025
If the igniter lights but the main burners don't come on, here are some things to check: * Gas valve position: Ensure the gas valve is in the “on” position. * Air in the gas line: Cycle the ignition sequence until the air is purged from the gas line. * Gas valve failure: The gas valve may need to be replaced. * No power to gas valve: Check the controls for proper operation. * Low gas pressure: Check both the supply pressure and the manifold pressure. * High burner throat pressure: Check the burner throat pressure.

What to do if my Jandy LXi Swimming Pool Heater flame lifts and goes out?
    • A
      anthony86Aug 21, 2025
If the flame lifts and goes out, it could be due to: * Lean fuel/air mixture - Low supply pressure: Correct the supply pressure to ensure a manifold pressure of 2.5" W.C. (Natural) or 9.0" W.C. (Propane) when firing. * Lean fuel/air mixture - Too much combustion air: Check the burner throat pressure and adjust it to 1.0" W.C.

What causes a short yellow streaked flame in my Jandy LXi?
    • C
      Christopher SmithAug 25, 2025
A short, yellow-streaked flame can be caused by: * Rich fuel/air mixture - High manifold pressure: Correct the manifold pressure to 2.5" W.C. (Natural) or 9.0" W.C. (Propane). * Rich fuel/air mixture - Too little combustion air: Locate and correct any combustion system sealing issues beneath the burners (see Section 10.3). Also, check the burner throat pressure and adjust it to 1.0" W.C.

Why is my Jandy Swimming Pool Heater not producing enough heat?
    • C
      Christopher WilkersonAug 31, 2025
If your heater isn't providing enough heat, consider these possibilities: * Inadequate gas supply: The gas meter or the gas line from the meter to the heater might be too small. * Low manifold gas pressure: The gas pressure on the heater manifold should be adjusted to 2.5" W.C. (Natural) or 9.0" W.C. (Propane). * Heater size inadequate: You might need to replace it with a heater that has a higher input. * Temperature rise set incorrectly: Adjust the temperature rise according to Section 7.8 of this manual.

Why is my Jandy LXi making a pounding or knocking noise?
    • R
      robincalhounSep 7, 2025
A pounding or knocking sound may be related to water flow. Check the temperature rise according to Section 7.8 of this manual. If the temperature rise is too high, check the pipe size and pump capacity. Also, inspect for any obstructions or closed valves in the system, and check for a damaged internal bypass or an incorrectly set external bypass.
  • M
    Michael ClaySep 10, 2025
Why is my Jandy Swimming Pool Heater condensing?
    • S
      Steven StephensSep 12, 2025
Heater condensing can be attributed to: * Low water temperature: Flue product moisture will condense at start-up until the heater water temperature reaches normal operating conditions. * Heater plumbed backwards: Correct the plumbing.
