17. Water valves at the water pump should be in the position to allow water into
the RV lines. Disconnect any pressurized water source. Turn the water pump ON. You
want water to ow from the water tank into the water lines in the RV.
18. Verify the hot water heater is full of water by turning on the hot water faucets and when
a steady stream of water ows from the hot faucets, pump must be ON, then the water
heater is full of water.
19. Open all faucets one by one (both hot and cold) and allow water to ow until the chlo-
rine smell is gone. Include the outside shower and outside kitchen also.
20. Close the faucets and then turn the pump OFF.
If a chlorine taste lingers in the water, ush the water system
with a solution consisting of one-quart vinegar to ve gallons of clean water. Re-ush as
necessary.
Follow the steps outlined in Draining the Fresh Water System with one exception, do not
drain the water heater. Set thvalves to mode. re-
move the water heater drain plug.
water lter (if so equipped), remove the canister, take out the lter,
and reattach the empty canister.
1. Water heater power should be OFF (both switches: electric and LP gas). Set the water
heater bypass valves to mode.
2. Siphon the vinegar solution into the fresh water tank. Place the clear tubing (located
inside the basement access cover at the pump) into a container with the vinegar solu-
tion. Tank drain valve must be closed to create a siphon.
3. Set the black and white valves at the water pump to the setting
(refer to the 6 In 1 Utility Center – 2 Valve System section). Turn the water pump ON
and vinegar solution will be drawn into the fresh water tank.
4. Finish lling the fresh water tank with of clean (potable) water. Turn the pump OFF.
Fill the fresh water tank using one of the methods in Step 9 previously. Refer to the 6
In 1 Utility Center – 2 Valve System section.
5. Set the BLACK and WHITE valves at the water pump to the positions.
Turn the pump ON. Run water through all faucets (hot and cold, including outside
shower) until chlorine smell is gone.
6. Close all faucets including outside shower. Turn pump OFF.
7. Drain the system again, but do not drain the water heater. Water heater bypass valves
should be set to mode. Do not remove water heater drain plug.
8. Close low point drains and fresh water tank drain. Low point drains for hot and cold
water lines are located inside the basement access cover.
9. Rell the fresh water tank with clean potable water. Use either the
method or the method. Refer to the 6 In 1 Utility Center – 2 Valve
System section.
10. Reset the black and white valves at the water pump to the position. Turn
the pump ON. Open faucets and check that the chlorine taste is gone.
11. Turn water pump OFF. Drain the system one more time. See Draining the Fresh Water
System.
12. Remove full system canister, insert the lter, and re-attach canister to the mount. For
, set the water heater bypass valves to the
position.
