3. Replace the water lter cartridge (if so equipped) with the plastic bypass hose.
If RV has a canister water lter, turn o water to the lter (valves should be on either
side of the lter). Remove the lid, remove the lter, replace the lid. Turn on the water
valves.
4. Water heater should now be empty after performing Step 2. The water heater bypass
valves should be set to . Refer to
2-Valve Water Heater Bypass section.
5. Make sure the “fresh water tank drain” and
“low point drains” are all closed. Low point
drains are typically located inside the base-
ment access cover for hot and cold water lines.
6. Open the basement access cover to locate the
BLACK and WHITE water valves and set
them to positions
(as shown).
7. Place the end of the clear plastic hose into a container of RV antifreeze.
8. Turn the water pump switch ON. Antifreeze will siphon into the water lines when a
xture is opened. To aid in siphoning, place the container of antifreeze on a at surface
2 feet above the ground. All drains should be closed to create a siphon.
9. Open each hot water faucet one at a time, including outside shower and outside kitchen
(if so equipped) until RV antifreeze begins to ow continuously then close the water
faucet. Repeat for all hot water faucets.
10. Repeat Step 8 with the cold water faucets including outside shower and outside kitchen
(if equipped).
11. Hold open the lever on the toilet until antifreeze runs into the bowl.
12. Appliances should be winterized to prevent damage. Refrigerator, dishwasher, clothes
washer should be winterized. Refer to the appliance owner’s manual for instructions
or call Customer Service.
1. Ensure all tanks are empty.
2. Pour RV antifreeze into the empty black water tank (through the toilet bowl).
(Be sure to have a container available for capturing system uid.)
3. Turn the macerator pump ON.
4. Run the pump until antifreeze begins to discharge from the dump connector on the end
of the exible hose.
5. Turn the macerator pump OFF.
6. Drain the hose by holding it at a sloped angle to remove excess water, return hose to
the stored location.
7. As an added safety measure, drain the macerator bypass valve.
Antifreeze should enter the hot water heater or the water
lter.
