Track Drive Motor
Removal
1 Remove the engine cover (if fitted) K Engine
Cover ( T B-1) and move the engine back on its
mounting to gain access to the motor K Engine
Mounting ( T K-3).
2 Raise the machine on the side to be worked on.
3 Remove the track.
4 Unscrew the sprocket securing capscrew A and
remove sprocket B.
5 Mark the hydraulic hoses to ensure correct refitting
and unscrew the hoses from the adapters C.
6 Remove the four securing nuts and bolts D and
withdraw the motor from the track frame.
Note: From machine no. 1360035 a sprocket support
bearing is fitted. Two of the motor mounting bolts pass
through the bearing housing and the other two are tapped
into the bearing housing.

Replacement
Replacement is the reverse of the removal sequence.
On machines after serial no. 1360035 refer to Drive
Sprocket Replacement to ensure correct alignment of the
sprocket bearing housing K
Drive Sprocket ( T J-14).
Before fitting capscrew A apply JCB Retainer (High
Strength) K
Consumables ( T 1-15) to the threads.
Adjust the track tension after fitting.
Run the motor to bleed air from the hydraulic system
before using the machine.
