Removal and Replacement
Removal
1 Open the cover and release the cover check wire.
2 On machines with Yanmar engines, disconnect the
wiring harness at the ignition switch.
3 On early machines, pull the cover backwards at the
base to release it from the machine by separating the
hinge.
4 On later machines and machines fitted with a crash
bar, unscrew the two hinge retaining bolts at A and lift
the cover away from the machine.
Replacement
1 On early machines, push the cover hinge securely
onto the machine frame.
2 On later machines and machines fitted with a crash
bar, secure the cover with the two hinge retaining
bolts at A. Close the cover and check the latch
engagement and function. Adjust the hinge bracket
up or down on the slotted holes as required and
tighten the bolts.
3 On machines with Yanmar engines, re-connect the
wiring harness to the ignition switch.
4 Connect the cover check wire and close the cover.
