TIRES AND WHEELS
Alloy rims. Tubeless radial carcass tires.
All approved tires are listed in the
Registration Certi cate.
WARNING If there are any discrepancies
between the Owner Handbook and
the Registration Document, take the
information only from the latter. For safe
driving, the car must be tted with tires of
the same make and type on all wheels.
WARNING Do not use inner tubes with
tubeless tires.
SNOW CHAINS
14)
7mm snow chains can only be used
on the 215/60 R17 96H tire (where
provided).
Warnings
The use of snow chains should be in
compliance with local regulations. In
certain countries, tires marked with code
M+S (Mud and Snow) are considered as
winter equipment; therefore their use is
equivalent to that of the snow chains.
The snow chains may be applied only to
the front axle.
If the vehicle is moving with the snow
chains tted, the "SNOW" drive mode
must be set using the Selec-Terrain
TM
system knob (for more information see the
Selec-Terrain
TM
chapter in the "Starting
and driving" section).
Check the tension of the snow chains
after the rst few feet/meters have been
driven.
Using snow chains with tires with non-
original dimensions may damage the
vehicle.
Using different size or type (M+S, snow,
etc.) tires between front and rear axle may
adversely affect vehicle driveability, with
the risk of losing control of the vehicle and
causing accidents.
WARNING
14) Keep the speed down when snow
chains are fitted; never exceed 50km/h.
Avoid potholes, steps and curbs and
avoid driving long distances on roads not
covered with snow to avoid damaging the
vehicle and the road surface.
