2.3. How to handle a battery pack
The instrument operates with a lithium-ion rechargeable battery. Use only the designated genuine
battery pack only with the instrument.
When you receive the purchased instrument, the instrument and the battery pack are enclosed in
separate boxes.
The battery pack is not fully charged when you receive the purchased instrument. Be sure to charge
it fully before use. Please follow the procedures shown below to charge your battery pack.
2.3.1. How to charge a battery pack
Charge your battery pack by following the procedures shown below before use. Charge your
battery pack with enclosed designated battery charger.
① Connect enclosed AC adaptor to the connector on your battery charger.
② Connect the power cable to the AC adaptor.
③ Insert the battery pack ensuring the terminal positions are facing each other.
④ Plug the power cable to an outlet.
The battery charging light turns orange while it is charging, and turns green when it is fully
charged.
⑤ Take the battery pack off from the charger, unplug from the outlet.
