5.2.3 Using the Bead Pusher MH
To aid demounting of wheels with particularly rigid or
low profile tires it is possible to use either the Bead
Pusher or the Bead Breaker Disc, or use both together.
The bead pusher holder rod position can be set to three
different heights.
Figure 5.2-15
• Remove the rod lock stop 1 and adjust the position
as desired.
• Re-insert the stop in the rod lock hole.
Using the Bead Pusher MH
Figure 5.2-16
The Bead Pusher device allows the bead to be held in
the rim drop center and is usually used on the side
diametrically opposite the demount tool.
• Bring the bead pusher device 1 onto the tire in a
position opposite to that of the demount tool.
• Exert a pressure such as to bring the bead to the
height of the rim drop center.
The Bead Pusher tool rests on the rim flange and allows
an even, sufficiently strong pressure to be placed on
the side of the tire.
Note: During the mounting tasks the operator
can make use of the Bead Pusher tool.
