Beading Tubeless: tires
Perform the beading with the wheel blocked on the tire
changer.
Beading tubeless tires is sometimes difficult because
the beads may be very close together (e.g. owing to
incorrect stacking) and so fail to seal against the rim
properly. In this event it may be helpful to place the wheel
on the floor in a vertical position and 'bounce' it while
introducing air with the pedal control or with the nozzle
(Figura 5.4-0).
Beading with the GT device:
The machine can be provided with a GT device,
necessary for bead seating of tubeless tires.
Connect the compressed air hose to the valve (Figure
5.4-1).
Position the GT device beading nozzle between tire
and rim, pointing the air jet inside the tire (Figure
5.4-2).
Quickly press the beading pedal down all the way.
A high pressure air jet is expelled from the injector
nozzle and the beads adhere to the edge of the rim,
at the same time the inflation of the tire continues
via the valve.
STOP THE COMPRESSED AIR AS SOON AS THE
BEADS GRIP THE RIM WELL.
Place the wheel in a type approved cage to finish
inflating and completely settle the beads in their seats
on the rim.
