Load handler emergency lowering
u
Instruct other people to move out of the hazardous area of the truck during
emergency lowering.
u
Never step or stand underneath a raised load handler.
u
Only operate the emergency lowering valve when standing next to the truck.
u
When the load handler is in the racking, emergency lowering is not permitted.
u
Report any defects immediately to your supervisor.
u
Mark defective truck and take out of service.
u
Do not return the industrial truck to service until you have identified and rectified
the fault.

Load handler emergency lowering
Requirements
– Load handler is not in the rack.
Tools and Material Required
– Fork wrench SW 8 (EJC 214/216/220)
Procedure
• Set the key switch (15) to “0”.
• Depress the Emergency Disconnect switch
(9), see page 87.
• Lift off the front panel, see page 185
• Using the fork wrench undo the screw on the
valve block (75) (max. 3 turns).
The load handler is lowered.

After carrying out the emergency lowering, turn
in the screw on the valve block (75) as far as
the stop.
