Periodic maintenance and adjustment
Owners tool kit
The bike is provided with a tool bag. The
owner’s tool kit is located under the seat.
The service information included in this
manual and the tools provided in the own-
er’s tool kit are intended to assist you in the
performance of preventive maintenance
and minor repairs.
However, additional tools, such as a torque
wrench, may be necessary to perform cer-
tain maintenance work correctly.
TIP
If you do not have the tools or experience
required for a particular job, have your Kee-
way dealer perform it for you. The dealers
list is available on the website www.kee-
waymotor.it.
TIP
The annual checks must be performed
on a yearly basis, unless a kilometric
interval deadline is reached (or a mile-
age-based interval for UK).
At 13,000 km (8,078 mi), repeat mainte-
nance services, starting from the one of
7,000 km (4,350 mi).
Servicing on items marked with an as-
terisk should be performed by a Kee-
way dealer, as they require special tools,
data and technical skills.
The use of non-original spare parts may
accelerate motorbike wear and tear
and shorten its life. Failure to perform
recommended operations or the use of
non-original parts may render the legal
warranty null and void.
The replacement and/or topping up of
lubricants and liquids must only be car-
ried out with the recommended prod-
ucts.
TIP
AIR FILTER
The air lter needs to be replaced more
often if the vehicle is used in particular-
ly damp or dusty environments.
HYDRAULIC BRAKE MAINTENANCE
Check brake uid levels on a regular ba-
sis and top up as necessary.
Every two years replace the internal
components of the brake pumps and
calipers, and change the brake uid.
Replace the brake hoses every four
years and if cracked or damaged.
The following chart shows all of the main-
tenance operations.
