Periodic maintenance and adjustment
10. Check the O-ring is not damaged and
replace, if necessary.
11. Install the oil lter, the compression
spring, the O-ring, and the oil drain
bolt.
TIP
Make sure the O-ring is properly in place.
12. Install the oil lter cap to the specied
tightening torque.
A
Tightening torque of engine oil
lter:
22-24 N·m
(2.2-2.4 kgf·m, 16.2-17.7 lb·ft)
13. Install the rod control block of the
gearchange pedal in a dierent way
than disassembly.
14. Place the drain bolt back and put a
new gasket.
Tightening torque of oil drain
bolt:
25 N·m (2.5 kgf·m, 18.4 lb·ft)
15. Rell with the specied amount of the
recommended engine oil, and then in-
stall and tighten the oil ller cap.
Recommended engine oil:
API SH, SAE10W-40, JASO MA
Oil quantity:
Oil change with oil lter removal
1,2 L ±0,1 L (0,1 US gal, 0,6 Imp gal)
TIP
Since the replacement or cleaning of the oil
lter may be dicult for an operator with
little experience, we recommend contact-
ing an authorised Keeway workshop.
TIP
Be sure to wipe o spilled oil on any parts
after the engine and exhaust system have
cooled down.
WARNING
• In order to prevent clutch slippage
(since the engine oil also lubricates
the clutch), do not mix any chemical
additives. Do not use oils with a diesel
specication of “CD” or oils of a higher
quality than specied. In addition, do
not use oils labelled “ENERGY CON-
SERVING II” or higher.
• Make sure that no foreign material en-
ters the crankcase.
16. Start the engine, and then let it idle for
several minutes while checking it for
oil leakage. If oil is leaking, immediate-
ly turn the engine o and check for the
cause.
17. Turn the engine o, wait a few minutes
until the oil settles, then check the oil
level and adjust, if necessary.
