Ethernet cables
For 10BaseT and 100BaseTX Ethernet connections, use standard category five (CAT 5)
twisted pair patch cables with RJ-45 connectors, not to exceed the standard maximum segment
length of 100 meters. The equipment that the device is being attached to will determine
whether a straight-thru or cross over cable configuration is required.
Straight through cables
Standard Ethernet straight through cables are required when connecting the device to a stan-
dard network hub or switch.
NOTE Straight through cables are also referred to as patch cables.
