Autodelay and autorange settings
The following table provides times for autodelay and autorange time for the Series 3700A DMM
frequency and period functions.
Trigger level
Frequency and period use a zero-crossing trigger, which means that a count is taken when the
frequency crosses the zero level. The Series 3700A uses a reciprocal counting technique to measure
frequency and period. This method generates constant measurement resolution for any input
frequency. The AC voltage measurement section of the Series 3700A performs input signal
conditioning. If the input signal voltage exceeds the selected voltage range, 000.0000 mHz
(0.000000 s) is returned.
