Decreases the attenuation value for the attenuation control unit. To decrease
attenuation,
<stepsize> value needs to be entered. If no <stepsize> value is stated, it
sets the value to the current step size or 1 dB initial step size (when unit power is on).
[INPut:]ATTenuation:DECRement [<stepsize>]
Examples
To decrease the attenuation level by a step size of 2 dB:
:DECR 2
Error Messages
If
<stepsize> is beyond the range specified, a return error value will be clipped to the
minimum or maximum attenuation value. You may encounter the following two error
messages if the value is not within the specified range:
- + 12, “Value clipped to Max”
- + 11, “Value clipped to Min”
