Assembly Replacement
Microdeck Sub-Assemblies
To gain access to any of the microdeck sub-assemblies it is necessary to
remove the instrument outer cover and the inner bottom rear cover. Refer to
“Outer Cover” on page 99 and “Inner Bottom Covers” on page 101.

— A17 Agile Mod/Filter
— A18 Lowband Output Module
— A19 40 GHz Doubler - Option 540/54E Only
— A20 Output Leveling Assembly
It is not necessary to remove the Microdeck assembly from the instrument in order to replace
any of the Microdeck sub-assemblies listed above. All sub-assemblies can be removed and
replaced while the Microdeck is still installed in the instrument.
The procedures below are for a UNM instrument. If you have an Option 1EM (rear panel
connectors) it will be necessary to perform additional steps to remove the rear panel cables.
