General Information 1
S-Series Oscilloscopes Service Guide 11
Characteristics and Environmental Conditions
The following table contains a partial list of specifications and characteristics for
the Infiniium S-Series oscilloscopes. For a full list of specifications and
characteristics, see the data sheets at www.keysight.com/find/S-series.
Warranted specifications are tested in Chapter 3. Specifications are valid after a
30-minute warm-up period, and within
± 5° C from the temperature at which the
last user calibration was performed.

the nominal supply voltage.
Pollution Degree The Infiniium S-Series oscilloscopes may be operated in environments of
Pollution Degree 2.
Pollution Degree
Definitions
Pollution Degree 1: No pollution or only dry, non-conductive pollution
occurs. The pollution has no influence. Example: A clean room or
climate-controlled office environment.
Pollution Degree 2. Normally only dry non-conductive pollution occurs.
Occasionally a temporary conductivity caused by condensation may occur.
Example: General indoor environment.
Pollution Degree 3: Conductive pollution occurs, or dry, non-conductive
pollution occurs which becomes conductive due to condensation which is
expected. Example: Sheltered outdoor environment.
